Pro tip: Check before you book carpet cleaning

Don't assume professional carpet steam cleaning is required. Check your lease and your property manager's checklist first. In Victoria, a lease can only require professional carpet cleaning where it is needed to return the property to the condition it was in at the start of the tenancy. If you do have it done, keep the receipt in case your agent asks for it.
